Congregation Annual General Meeting
Our AGM will be held on Sunday the 27th of November, after the 9:30am service. In preparation, can each of the groups associated with Athelstone Uniting Church please submit a 2016 report to Sharyn ( soon. If your group has a photograph to submit, Sharyn will do her best to insert it within the report. These will then be published and available prior to the meeting.
Church Council Nominations
Ros Howland, Robyn Stevenson, Lee O’Connell and Victoria Pederick have each completed their current 2 year term on Church Council.  This opens up 4 positions on Church Council for 2017/2018.  Please prayerfully consider who you would like to nominate for these positions.  Ros Howland and Robyn Stevenson are not standing for re-election.  Nomination forms are available in the foyer, with Nominations due to Victoria Pederick by Saturday the 12th of November.
Sounds of Silence 
Sunday November 20, 8.15 am – We will be meeting in the newly named Children’s Forest -“wakwakurnaku wirra”
Following on from the spirit that enlivened the “God’s Patch” Service a couple of weeks ago, please join us for a time of contemplation and reflection which will based around the aboriginal quality Dadirri – an inner, deep listening and quiet. still awareness.  All Welcome  Lee O’Connell

The latest three-monthly edition has arrived..  We have ordered several additional copies at a cost of $5.00.  Orders are in the church foyer for pick up.  If you would like to try this excellent devotional resource, please talk to Geoff or Sharyn.

Samaritan’s Purse
Many thanks to all who filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and all who made donations. 51 boxes were received and $279 in donations .  A great result!
