Church Council Update – ” On Tuesday night the Church Council held its 5th meeting of the year, discussing a number of important matters, including:

  • Provisions required for appointment of our new minister
  • April financial statements and upcoming Auditor’s report for 2016 (expected in the coming weeks)
  • Progress on updating the AUC membership roll
  • Church building audit report which examines the building’s condition, compliance and safety assessment to be received in the coming weeks
  • A number of essential maintenance items have been identified at the Manse that require attention over the coming months.

Church Council requests your ongoing involvement and support as we, with God’s help, journey through this exciting and important period of decision making.”

Membership Records 2017 Update – Reminder

Church Council is currently updating the Membership List.  This is essential for good governance of the church, and avoids potential issues with congregational voting. You may have received an email with the details and forms are available, please see Don Brown, Di Curtis or Geoff Hurst for further information and/or to return your form by this Sunday (21st of May). Forms can be emailed to the Office. Thank you.
Lent Event 2017Many thanks to all who contributed to the Lent Event this year. A total amount of $810.20 has been forwarded to Uniting World for distribution to needy communities in Asia and Africa.  This is in addition to any donations that were sent directly to the Lent Event Sydney office.

Cans of Food

Cans of Soup, Baked Beans, Casserole type meals, etc. are very welcome to be donated to Uniting Communities who in turn distribute them to those in need.   Please leave any contributions at the back of the church.

2017 Christmas Tree Festival

Planning is well underway for the event to be held on 23-26th November.     We are looking for assistance in putting the festival together (both with planning and throughout the festival) and would love it if you volunteered. Please contact Julie Goldsmith on 0418 811 556 or thegoldies2@bigpond.com if you can assist.

With Love to the World

The Pentecost edition of this devotional resource has been delivered.  The cost is $5.00 per quarter – four months.  What a bargain!   Please pick up your ordered copies in the foyer.   As usual there is an envelope attached for your remittance which can be put in the offering for ease of payment.   We have been sent some additional copies so if you had been thinking about a daily devotion this is a good way to start your journey FREE!.  Talk to Geoff or Sharyn to get your copies soon.
