Congregation Annual General Meeting
Our AGM will be held on Sunday the 27th of November, after the 9:30am service.  In preparation, can each of the groups associated with Athelstone Uniting Church please submit a 2016 report to Sharyn ( soon.  If your group has a photograph to submit, Sharyn will do her best to insert it within the report.  These will then be published and available prior to the meeting.
Church Council Nominations
Ros Howland, Robyn Stevenson, Lee O’Connell and Victoria Pederick have each completed their current 2 year term on Church Council.  This opens up 4 positions on Church Council for 2017/2018.  Please prayerfully consider who you would like to nominate for these positions.  Ros Howland and Robyn Stevenson are not standing for re-election.  Nomination forms are available in the foyer, with Nominations due to Victoria Pederick by Saturday the 12th of November.
Useful Gifts Catalogue
Don and Brian will have copies of Tear Fund’s Useful Gifts catalogue at Church from next Sunday 27 November with card sales available from 4 December.

Sounds of Silence

Fete & Garage Sale
Thank you to everyone for your wonderful effort at the Fete & Garage Sale held recently.  It was a real team effort and was great to see everyone getting involved in some way or another.  We are very happy to report that we raised approx. $7,200.   Heartfelt thanks to you all.
An early Reminder for ToFs
Put Tuesday, December 6th in your diaries for our Christmas lunch.  Husbands and best friends are welcome to join in too.  We plan to go to The Rezz for a 12 midday start.  I will confirm this closer to the date.

Church Power Interruption (Advance Notice)
“The Church will be closed on 6th December for the whole day to allow electrical upgrade work to be performed. Please do not access the church while work is under way on that day.”
Voices of Praise  –  Looking for Singers
Are you interested in choir singing as an outreach to other Churches and the wider community?   “Voices of Praise” is an ecumenical group of singers that utilize their God-given gifts to contribute musically to congregations and groups and provide opportunity for the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
