***Prayers for Athelstone Church our AGM and the Church Council Elections
This Sunday morning November 27 at 8.45 am, prior to worship, a group are gathering in the lower lounge/chapel for a time of prayer and reflection. We are going to share a parable, and to especially pray for the AGM, Church Council Elections and the ongoing planning for the future of our church. Please feel very welcome to join us. Blessings

We have 5 nominations for 5 positions on the Church Council: Don Brown, David Riggall, Michael O’Connell, Di Curtis, Victoria Pederick. Please keep these individuals in your prayers. You will each have the opportunity to vote for the nominees at the AGM on Sunday the 27th of November.
The Christmas Bowl Appeal 2016 – is a vital link between those who have enough and those who have too little. In a world in which too many people are facing pain , suffering and injustice, the Christmas Bowl appeal
is still an essential act of compassion, just as it has been since its humble beginnings in 1949. For example your support of the Christmas Bowl will help to provide a holistic approach to health and hygiene for the Sri Lankan refugees living in the camps in Tamil Nadu ,India.
This includes nutrition supplements, counseling, support for pregnant women, new mothers and newborns
,as well as aid and care for those living with disabilities. Here at Athelstone envelopes in which you may place your gift are available in the porch. These may go in the offering bags between now and the second week in January. In addition there will be a special offering for the Christmas Bowl on Christmas Eve.
Useful Gifts Catalogue – Catalogue are available today. Gift cards from next Sunday.
“A small seed, when planted, can grow into something amazing ! In the same way when you buy a Useful Gift, you are helping our partners plant seeds of hope that create life-changing opportunities for communities facing poverty.” Be in it and know that you are helping to make a difference !
