Membership Records 2017 Update
Thanks to everyone who has helped by giving us updated details on their membership status. This will make it easier for us to do several things…. It will make voting for a new minister easier at our congregational meeting on the 4th of June.  It will help us keep track of our members for purposes of pastoral care and it will help us in understanding our discipleship.  If you still wish to help get our records clear and have yet to do so then please email or call myself or Sharyn in the office ( Geoff Hurst

Lent Event 2017
Many thanks to all who contributed to the Lent Event this year. A total amount of $810.20 has been forwarded to Uniting World for distribution to needy communities in Asia and Africa.  This is in addition to any donations that were sent directly to the Lent Event Sydney office.
Cans of Food
Cans of Soup, Baked Beans, Casserole type meals, etc. are very welcome to be donated to Uniting Communities who in turn distribute them to those in need.   Please leave any contributions at the back of the church.
With Love to the World
The Pentecost edition of this devotional resource has been delivered.  The cost is $5.00 per quarter – four months.  What a bargain!   Please pick up your ordered copies in the foyer.   As usual there is an envelope attached for your remittance which can be put in the offering for ease of payment.   We have been sent some additional copies so if you had been thinking about a daily devotion this is a good way to start your journey FREE!.  Talk to Geoff or Sharyn to get your copies soon.
Yoga Classes for tots
This group is in recess  – please contact Kristie for information
Come and join us with your preschoolers and babies on alternate Tuesdays (even weeks of school term) from 10-00 a.m. to 11-30 a.m. at Athelstone Uniting Church, corner of Fox Avenue & Kantilla Drive Dates for 2017- Term 2 – 6th June –           20th June – 4th July
New Links
We have welcomed new families to Stay and Play again this term, increasing our enrolment to 20 children.  It is pleasing to see that we are forging links with the Calisthenics Group that are using the church as well as our banner continuing to draw local families to us.
There is a possibility that Bruce and Joy will be away on a REVISE trip early next term, as well as probably losing Michael for the rest of the year.  With the increasing enrolments, we would really appreciate some more helpers on the team, so even if you only feel you can support us for one session, please speak to either Bruce or Joy.  Families continue to give us great feedback of their appreciation of the “team effort” involved and we know we are making a difference to young families’ lives.  Packing Day
Packing Day is happening again this year, SOON!  We will be collecting, sorting and packing on Sunday 4th, Mon 5th and morning of Tues 6th June.   Goods can be dropped at the church on the afternoon of Sunday June 5th 12 – 4pm and Mon 6th in the morning. If you are able to help at the church on any of the days ie Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning please let me know. Pass the word around to your friends and families for donations, in particular lighter weight garments and plenty of menswear. Many Thanks,  Ros Howland.
Our June meeting is on the Tuesday of Packing Day (June 6th).  As Jenny and I are assisting with this event we invite all ladies to join us to help with the packing and for morning tea at the church.  Packing is from 9am and morning tea approx. 10.30am.  We hope you can join us.  Jenny and Ros
