The Uniting Church was formed in 1977 through the union of the Congregational, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches. Now, we are the third largest Christian denomination in Australia.
The Uniting Church believes all people are made in the image of God and deeply loved. As members of the Church, we make up the one body of Christ. We encourage one another to learn more about and grow with God, to care for each other and God’s creation, to seek justice and live lovingly in the world.
We are a church that has chosen togetherness in faith to be of utmost importance; members are committed to living as one diverse community despite often differing views. Unique and fresh in its expressions, the Uniting Church is faithful in believing, in many shapes and forms.
