Street Library

Street Library

Our Street Library is an opportunity to recycle books in our community, it helps our environment by passing books on to other people to read.

Our Street Library is for our local community, to offer generosity and neighbourliness. Located at the front of the Athelstone Uniting Church on Fox Avenue, this Street Library is for children. Our next project is to have another Street Library for adults. Donate a book, take a book or enjoy reading in the Wirra, our indigenous garden of plants local to the Athelstone area.

You can find our street library on the street library website here: https://streetlibrary.org.au/library/athelstone-uniting-church-street-library/

Special Event: National Shared Reading Week Activities

Special Event: We will be celebrating our library as part of National Shared Reading Week (facilitated by Street Library Australia) from 28th October to 3rd November. We invite families with young children to explore activities in the wirra, based on “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.

Check out the link below to access the details of AUC’s registered activity for National Shared Reading Week, and let others know so they can join in the fun in the wirra.
