I have been in placement here at Athelstone UC since September 2017.
Being relatively new, this is an exciting time: a new congregation to get to know, and to become part of; a new community to feel at home in; and new friends to grow to love. Along with that I feel a sense that God is calling us all to something new in Athelstone (that is, the members of this congregation and those who are part of this wider community).
Here we are, located at the heart of Athelstone, all sharing a heart for this community.
I am enjoying hearing your stories about this place, its culture, its history, its stories and your heart for this beautiful part of the world.
For us as Christians, the cross is at the heart of our faith. Jesus’ life, death and resurrection have shaped who we are as God’s people. Following in the example of Jesus, our arms are open for building relationships with our community, our environment and each other.
Together let’s join in with what God is already up to in this place.
I am normally available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. If you’d like to get in touch, it’s a good idea to call or text me first as I may be out and about in the community, in a meeting or enjoying a good coffee over good conversation in a local cafe.
May joy bubble through your day.
